Instructor - Georgina Charteris aka Miss Gigi
Throughout this workshop you will learn the foundations and history of burlesque dance through Miss Gigi's stylistic burlesque.
This includes:
- showgirl bevel
- struts & walks
- bump & grind
- pose & peel
- shimmy & shake
- legs, hips & chest isolations
- body rolls
- kicks and flexibility
- the power of touch
Through this class you will be connecting to your inner seductress while learning a group burlesque routine. This routine will allow you to build your confidence, body awareness, unique individuality, playful charisma, feminine beauty and your own cheeky and seductive burlesque attitude and character - which you're more than welcome to make up a name for.
This class will allow you to not only be able to dance like a burlesque dancer, but to free your body and spirit to really feel like a burlesque performer.
What to wear?
Please come wearing something YOU feel sexy in. Your nicest top and skirt or bra and leggings. Make sure you bring along a pair of heels but preferably not too high. 2-3 inches is ideal.
Feel free to put on your red lips or sexy cat eye to encourage your inner goddess to come out and play. Or come along with no makeup at all and explore a more vulnerable and raw side of your sexuality.
Remember, as much as we want you to feel sexy, we also want you to feel comfortable during the class so you can really express and explore your sensuality in each moment!
